Environment portraiture has always fascinated me, such as photos that show a craftsperson or a skilled worker, in his or her work environment. The elements are what makes the photo interesting and tells the story, from the keepsake wrench passed down by the craftsperson’s grandfather to the artist’s first work, sitting proudly on his or her shelf. All the details in the portrait come together to showcase the talent.

Having worked as a cook, crafts had always interest me. Seeing how things get made, and the process behind it, just fills me with joy to appreciate the quality of the product even more!
